First April LNG cargo bound for South Hook

The liquefied natural gas terminal on the shores of the UK’s Milford Haven waterway is scheduled to receive its first Qatari cargo in April.

According to the shipping data, the 210,000 cbm Al Sheehaniya LNG carrier is scheduled to dock at South Hook terminal’s jetty on April 4.

The delivery comes only four days after the last March cargo unloads on March 31.

The Q-Flex LNG carrier, Al Sheehaniya was built in 2009 by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for Nakilat. The vessel is chartered on a long-term deal to Qatargas.

One of Europe’s largest LNG import terminals, South Hook is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total.

As reported by LNG World News, the terminal received its 500th cargo of the chilled fuel last week.
