First Havyard-Vessel Built in India

The very first supply vessel of a Havyard design, constructed in India, is now delivered to the shipping corporation SCI. A further three vessels of Havyard 841-design to the same Indian shipowners are being constructed. The first vessel of four, of a Havyard 841-design, was recently delivered from the Indian shipyard Bharati to the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI).

«SCI-Panna» is the first vessel of a Havyard design that this shipyard has constructed and it is also the first supply vessel of a Havyard design that the Indian shipping corporation has purchased.

There is also a contract for a further three AHTSs of the same design, and these will be delivered from Bharati shipyard to SCI within March 2012.

The Herøy-based company, Havyard, designed the 841 as early as 2007 with SCI in India in mind. The vessel has a bollard pull of 80 tonnes, is 64.8 metres in length and has deck capacity of 400 square metres. There is also accommodation for a crew of 31.
