Statoil has announced that all personnel apart from security staff have now been evacuated from Floatel Superior, after the accommodation rig tilted this morning due to a hole in the ballast tank.

Three helicopters have been operating a shuttle service between the rig and Njord A facility in the Norwegian Sea.

After landing on Njord A, the personnel are taken to the reception centre in Kristiansund.

A total 326 persons have been evacuated while 48 persons tasked with emergency duties remain on the accommodation rig, which is now being prepared for removal out of the safety zone around Njord A.
