Flogas signs LNG supply deal with SGN

Flogas Britain, distributor of liquefied natural gas in the UK, recently signed a deal with, SGN, a gas distribution company, to supply LNG to a grid system serving four Scottish towns.

Starting on May 1, Flogas will supply 10,000 tons of LNG per year, for a period of five years, the company said in its statement.

Flogas will load supplies at the Grain LNG terminal and deliver it to the independent grid system that provides natural gas to Oban and Campbeltown in west Scotland, and Thurso and Wick in the north.

Previously the LNG had been sourced at the Avonmouth LNG facility which has been decommissioned after 40 years of operation.

Flogas, that was given the first fill at the truck loading station National Grid’s unit, Grain LNG, opened at its Isle of Grain liquefied natural gas terminal in Kent, has secured 1000 commercial slots at the facility, through an agreement with National Grid.
