Fluxys of Belgium Launches Electronic Booking System

Fluxys Belgium has successfully launched its new electronic system for booking transmission services.

The application is 24/7 available to grid users and they receive confirmation of their bookings through sms-messaging. In addition, updates of their booked portfolio are instantly available for downloading.

Full flexibility

Customers can use the new system as from now to book transmission services starting from 1 October onwards, the launch date of our new entry/exit transmission system which is to offer full flexibility in booking and using capacity in the Belgian gas transmission network. One of the flexibility features of the new electronic booking system is that customers can book capacities for the following gas day until midnight of the previous gas day. If the requested capacity is available and no further simulations are required, confirmation of the booking follows immediately.

New entry/exit system: next steps

Due progress is also being made in implementing the other building blocks in order to go live with the new entry/exit transmission system on 1 October. Currently testing is going on with customers for pre-defined scenarios and as from 4 September testing will step up to dry-run level in an environment as close as possible to real-business situation. Launch of the new Belgian ZTP virtual spot market by Fluxys Belgium and APX-Endex is scheduled for 27 September.
