Fourth April LNG delivery heading for South Hook

The LNG importing activity at the UK’s South Hook terminal has risen since the start of April.

According to Milford Haven Port Authority website, the 266,00 cbm capacity Umm Slal LNG carrier is scheduled to dock at the terminal’s jetty on April 24, five days after the 263,000 cubic metres Al Samriya delivery.

This will be the fourth delivery of LNG from Ras Laffan to South Hook terminal since the start of the month and fifth in total to the Milford Haven waterway as Dragon LNG terminal has also received a cargo on April 15.

The South Hook terminal, owned by Qatar Petroleum, Exxon Mobil and Total can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
