Fourth CMA CGM Newbuilding Enters Fleet

CMA CGM Group has taken delivery of the CMA CGM Tigris, the fourth in a series of 28 vessels from 9,400 TEUs to 10,900 TEUs which will have been delivered by the third quarter of 2016.

The CMA CGM Tigris will be a chartered bareboat sailing under the Malta flag, and the result of collaboration between the Chinese shipyards NTS (New Times Shipbuildings, Jiangsu Province, People’s Republic of China), CIMC group and the CMA CGM Group experts.

The vessel is second in the series built by NTS , the first being the CMA CGM Litani which was delivered on December 3. With 300m in length and 48m in width, it was designed to offer maximal loading capacity. The Tigris has a capacity of 1458 reefer plugs 40’, which is the largest so far on such a ship.

The vessel will be positioned on the SEAS Line, and operated on the following rotation: Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong kong, Singapore, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Paranagua, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai.
