EMCC Bags Port of Honfleur Dredging Deal

Conseil général du Calvados has awarded the contract for the annual scheduled dredging and pumping in the Port of Honfleur to EMCC, the leading French dredging contractor.

Under this agreement, the EMCC will provide all the dredging works in order to maintain a constant depth to main access channels and fairways in the Honfleur harbor.

The total value of this contract is 449,772 EUR.

EMCC has gained a long experience in dredging works which began in 1880 with maintenance dredging on the river Seine, from Paris downstream to Le Havre.

At the present day both marine and river dredging is carried out in accordance with environmental requirements. EMCC has developed soil decontamination processes, which are carried out by its subsidiary Extract – Ecoterres.

EMCC’s fleet of floating plant is the largest in France, all its dredgers are equipped with digital monitoring systems (DGPS).

The transport of spoil is undertaken by means of barges and split hoppers belonging to the company.
