GAC Brazil Sets Up New Office at Açu Port

GAC Brazil has opened a new office at São João da Barra that covers operations at the Açu port complex in the north of Rio de Janeiro.

Located 315 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro, the Açu port currently has ten berths, with plans to add another 20.

At 21 meters, the facility is deep enough to accommodate some of the world’s largest freight vessels, GAC said.

The Açu Port is expected to become one of the largest port complexes in Latin America,” Rodrigo Kill, Shipping Manager at GAC Brazil, said.

GAC serves the Brazilian shipping and logistics markets from its headquarters in São Paulo, and six branch offices in Angra dos Reis, Macae, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Santos and now Açu.

The group also serves the Latin America market through its operation in Trinidad & Tobago.
