Gallery: Disney Magic Makes a Stop in Dublin

Dublin Port has become the first Irish port to welcome one of Disney Cruise Line’s signature ships, Disney Magic, that arrived in Dublin on May 26 as a part of its voyage between Port Canaveral in Florida and Dover in England. The cruise ship visited Dublin again this Monday. The gallery below shows the Disney Magic docked in this city, with its bow featuring Sorcerer Mickey leading the way and Goofy finishing up the paint job on the aft name plate.

Upon its arrival in May, the ship was carrying more than 2,700 passengers and 950 cast and crew, according to Dublin Port Company.

Including the Disney Magic, 113 cruise ships are scheduled to call at Dublin Port in 2016.

The Disney Magic was the first ship in the company’s fleet which set sail in 1998. It was built in two parts at Fincantieri shipyards in Marghera and Ancona, Italy.

In 2013, the cruise ship underwent a major transformation in Spanish Cadiz.

This 8,452 dwt ship is 294 meters long and 32 meters wide.
