Gardline to Present at Joint Industry Technical Sharing Forum

Gardline and its sister company AsianGeos, have been invited to present a paper on Geotechnical Site Investigation using ROV Technology at the upcoming forum on the 21st October in Kuala Lumpur.

Andy Barwise, Business Development Director for both companies, will present the paper.

His presentation reflects on the available technology and how companies can maximise the benefits of investigations for clients using a modern approach to site investigation.

This event is the second JIFOG (Joint Industry Forum on Offshore Geotechnics) that has been hosted and is held every two years and focuses on trends and developments in offshore Geotechnics.

Some of the world’s industry experts present papers on a wide range of topics pertinent to current trends in the ever changing offshore world.

Andy’s presentation is on the use of autonomous technology and site investigation.

As the world of offshore survey takes a step towards ROV/AUV technologies, site investigation is following suit and using new technology to investigate the seabed.

When asked about his thoughts on attending and delivering a paper at the event, Andy Barwise had this to say “I am very pleased to be invited back to this conference for the 2nd time to present. The current market in the Far East is a rapidly growing and changing market with a big push towards deeper water and new technologies – in short for those involved in offshore site investigations it’s an exciting and challenging place to be!
