Gas Natural Fenosa profit up in 2014

LNG operator Gas Natural Fenosa posted a net profit of €1.46 billion in 2014, a rise of 1.2% compared to the previous year.

Consolidated EBITDA in 2014 was 4.85 billion euros, 0.1% more than the same period last year.

This was due to a good balance between the regulated gas and electricity markets, and the growing contribution of the company’s international presence, GNF said in a statement.

The company’s EBITDA for infrastructure activity, which includes the Maghreb–Europe Gas Pipeline operation; maritime transport management; the development of integrated LNG projects; and hydrocarbon exploration, development, production and storage, rose to €288 million, 11.6% more than in 2013.
