Egyptian tender for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) will be split between Spain’s Gas Natural Fenosa and three Swiss commodity traders.

While the allocation of cargoes to each supplier could change, Reuters reports sources as saying that Gas Natural Fenosa will supply five LNG cargoes to the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding (EGAS).

Swiss-based commodity traders Trafigura and Vitol are set to deliver three cargoes each with Glencore supplying the remaining one cargo.

All deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2018. Nine cargoes will be delivered to Ain Sokhna where Egypt’s two FSRU-based import terminals are located.

The remaining three cargoes will be delivered to Jordan’s import terminal in Aqaba where it will be regasified and delivered to Egypt via a pipeline.
