Gas Storage Capacity in Iran to Reach 100 Mcm

Iran’s gas storage capacity will reach to 100 million cubic meters per day by the end of the Fifth Five-Year Development Plan (2010-2015).

Iranian minister of petroleum made the remarks on the sidelines of inaugurating the country’s first natural gas storage facility in Serajeh, saying that the second facility will be established in Sarakhs, northeast of the country, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

He said that 40 places have been identified for establishment of such facilities including Serajeh near Qom city and Shorijeh east of the country.

Iran will be able to draw 100 million cubic meters of gas per day when it completes several relevant projects.
