GasLog Partners closes LNG carriers acquisition

GasLog Partners and GasLog said they closed the partnership’s acquisition of 100% of the ownership interests in three liquefied natural gas carriers from GasLog.

The acquisition of Methane Alison Victoria, the Methane Shirley Elisabeth and the Methane Heather Sally, was priced at $483 million, the companies said in a joint statement.

The three 2007 built, 145,000 cbm capacity vessels are currently operating under long-term time charters with BG with terms of 4.5 years, 5 years and 5.5 years remaining, respectively, with BG having the option to extend the charter period.

The acquisition was partly funded by a public offering of 7,500,000 common units bringing in proceeds close to $176 million.
