GAZ-SYSTEM, Avrio Media Enter into Gas Transmission Agreement

GAZ-SYSTEM entered into a gas transmission agreement with Avrio Media, which specialises in the distribution of gas for retail and industrial recipients located in western and central parts of Poland.

Avrio Media, which has been operating in the market since 2003, is a member to the engineering and technical holding of Eteron Sp. z o.o. providing services, without limitation, in telecommunications, energy, IT, real estate and gas industries. In the gas distribution segment, Avrio Media is responsible for the supply of gas in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship and plans to expand its concession with further areas in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lubuskie and Dolnośląskie Voivodeships. Thanks to skills it develops and its gas system management efficiency, the company has been appointed Distribution System Operator by the Energy Regulatory Office and obtained a concession for gas trading till 2025.

“The continuously developing gas market creates new growth opportunities to our company. Avrio Media’s strategy includes the company’s active participation in transactions in the gas exchange in order to acquire raw material for our recipients. It is also possible that we will acquire gas in the neighbouring more competitive markets. Such a business model based on the master transmission agreement with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. enables us, on the one hand, to respond to our recipients’ needs in a more flexible manner and, on the other hand, use our gas trading and distribution skills. This directly contributes to the growth of our competitiveness and position in the gas market in Poland,” states Adrian Dekert, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avrio Media.

As a part of the contract model suggested in the Transmission Network Code, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. signs master transmission agreements which are supplemented with the allocation of a specific capacity rate and transmission capacity. This model helps to flexibly react to and fulfil transmission needs of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.’s clients on the basis of the entry-exit tariff.
