Gazprom, Engie amend technical cooperation agreement

Alexey Miller, the head of the Russian giant Gazprom discussed the partnership development with Gerard Mestrallet, chairman of the board of directors of Engie

During the meeting, the development of partnership under the program for scientific and technical cooperation was discussed, as well as joint efforts in such areas as pipeline transportation and underground gas storage; LNG production, storage, transportation and regasification, as well as energy saving, Gazprom said in its statement.

The two companies also signed an addendum to the agreement of corporation outlining the general terms and conditions of personnel training and development, including in such areas as gas transportation and storage, LNG liquefaction, transportation and regasification, implementation of innovative projects, energy efficiency and international project management.

Another point of discussion was the delivery of Russian gas to France and further to other European countries, with Engie reaffirming its position to facilitate the Nord Stream 2 project.
