Gazprom, YPF ink memorandum of cooperation

Gazprom head Alexey Miller signed a memorandum of cooperation with Miguel Galuccio, CEO of Argentine National Petroleum Company YPF in Moscow on Thursday.

“The document stipulates the main areas of the future bilateral cooperation, including exploration, production and transmission of hydrocarbons in Argentina and third countries,” Russian gas giant said in a statement.

YPF is the main oil and gas producer in Argentina, with a market share of more than 43 percent.

Gazprom is supplying LNG to Argentina as part of a deal won in 2013 to supply 15 LNG cargoes with a total volume of one million tons to the country between 2014 and 2015.
