Glomar Offshore finds work for standby vessel

Dutch offshore support vessel operator Glomar Offshore has found work for one of its safety standby and survey vessels.

Glomar said on Tuesday that the 2012-built standby vessel Glomar Linde was awarded a deal with the company’s partner Rederij Groen.

The company also added that the vessel departed from the North Sea to the project location last week and would perform seismic guard and chase duties for Rederij Groen’s clients.

According to Glomar, the vessel will be working on the project for 12 to 24 months outside Europe.

Klaas Weij, CEO of Glomar, said: “This re-positioning, outside of our ‘backyard’ operations in the North Sea, signifies our worldwide capabilities and Global approach.”

As for the vessel, the Glomar Linde is 42 meters long, 11 meters wide, and can accommodate 12 people and 120 survivors, if needed.
