Golar LNG Partners have completed the acquisition of 50 percent equity in FLNG Hilli Episeyo located offshore Kribi in Cameroon, from Golar LNG, Keppel and Black and Veatch.

The partnership said the acquired interest is the equivalent of 50 percent of the two liquefaction trains, out of a total of four that have been contracted to Perenco Cameroon and Société Nationale Des Hydrocarbures pursuant to a liquefaction tolling agreement (LTA) with an 8-year term.

The acquisition also represents a 5 percent interest in any future distributions generated by the currently uncontracted expansion capacity of Hilli Episeyo.

Last month, the FLNG HIlli Episeyo commenced full commercial operations.

To remind, the FLNG Hilli Episeyo was converted from a 1975 built Moss LNG carrier with a storage capacity of 125,000 cubic meters by Keppel of Singapore.

It is the world’s first converted LNG carrier to a floating LNG producer.
