Grant awarded for Maryland CNG station

The Maryland Energy Administration has awarded the Maryland Natural Gas Refueling Station Grant, which Leonardo Academy submitted on behalf of GAIN Clean Fuel.

The grant award, totaling approximately $500,000, will support GAIN Clean Fuel‘s construction of a compressed natural gas fueling station in Baltimore, Maryland, Leonardo Academy said in a statement.

GAIN has partnered with Northeast Foods of Baltimore to provide two fast-fill dispensers with two pumps each (total of four pumps) to dispense CNG at 1601 62nd Street in Baltimore, near NEF’s Baltimore distribution facility. The station will provide CNG to NEF’s fleet of delivery trucks, and will also be open to the public.
