Hantong Shipyard Lays Keel for Yard No. HT57-115

Hantong Shipyard (HTS) on August 15th 2012, carried out keel-laying ceremony for the fifth 57.000 DWT bulk carrier (hull no. HT57-115) which is being built for HHI.

HTS, Vice general manager Mr. Yu Gang, owner and class representatives  attended the keel-laying.

The vessel comes as a new type of supramax bulk carrier optimised to burn less fuel oil. The efficiency improvements have been achieved by carrying out a number of changes including: de-rating the main engine, a new propeller design which has been optimised for the de-rated engine, and fitting a mewis duct.

Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co (HTS) is a newly-built large and medium-sized enterprise. The shipyard gained the accreditation of ISO9001:2002 and OSAH14000/GB25008 the quality management system and is engaged in the construction of large vessels and ocean engineering units approved by Class like ABS、DNV、BV、LR、CCS.
