Haugane to Leave Det Norske CEO Position in 2013

Erik Haugane, CEO of Norwegian oil and gas company Det norske, will resign from his position after his 60th birthday, the company announced today.

He will celebrate his 60th birthday in February next year and will resign from his position as CEO of Det norske oljeselskap ASA during 2013.

Haugane will continue to serve as CEO until a new chief executive officer is in place, Det norske said. Haugane founded Det norske (previously Pertra) in 2001. He holds a Cand. Real. degree in Exogene Geology from the University of Tromsø
