Havyard Receives Order for ‘Next Generation’ PSV (Norway)

Norway’s Havyard Group has signed a contract for delivery, design and construction for the next generation of Havyard 832 platform supply vessel with an undisclosed client.

The vessel is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2014 and the contract value is close to NOK 300 million (USD 51.5 million)

 “Since the first Havyard 832 was delivered in 2009, more and more shipowners have learned about this efficient design and until now, there have been almost 20 signed contracts or vessels constructed of this type. It is also a measure of its success that several competitors have designed ships within this segment,” says Director of Havyard Global Solutions, Tor Leif Mongstad.

In a press release issued today, Havyard has said that the name of the customer will not be revealed until the public until the actual contract has been made effective.
