Bibby Offshore has secured a contract with TAQA for subsea construction works in the Eider field, located 184 km north-east of Shetland.

With offshore operations to be completed this summer, the six month contract will see Bibby Offshore adopt a multi-vessel approach, utilizing its subsea support and construction vessel Olympic Ares, and its diving support vessel, Bibby Polaris.


Aker BP has awarded Allseas, via Excalibur Marine Contractors, a long term frame agreement for transport, installation and removal (T,I&R) services.

The company has also been awarded a call off for removal of the Valhall QP topsides and QP/DP bridge in 2019 and disposal thereafter.

The contract has a duration of six years plus two two year options.


Mermaid’s South East Asian and Middle Eastern business units have continued working efficiently on subsea contracts recently awarded during the first quarter of 2017.

The contracts have a combined total estimated potential value of USD 26 million.

The work scope includes saturation-diving and ROV works for riser installation, pipeline tie-ins and MOPU decommissioning in the Malaysian Peninsular and Sarawak.


Swan Hunter has completed mobilisation and commissioning of a flexlay spread onto EMAS Chiyoda Subsea’s multi-lay vessel Lewek Constellation for flexible risers installation.

The lay equipment comprises Swan Hunter’s new-build loading tower complete with tensioner, a 26-meters basket carousel provided by a joint venture partner, plus project-specific components.


Saipem and Eni have signed a contract for offshore drilling activity in Mozambique, utilising the drillship Saipem 12000.

The contract is of 15 months duration scheduled to start in mid-2019. It includes options up to a maximum of 45 months, not comprised in the contract value.

In addition to this contract, which will allow the company to participate in the development of the Coral field, Saipem has been awarded other offshore drilling contracts.
