Norway-based FSRU giant Höegh LNG confirmed Wednesday it has chartered its Höegh Gallant FSRU to Clearlake Shipping, a unit of the Switzerland-based energy trading company Gunvor.

To remind, Höegh LNG said last week that the floating regasification and storage unit would be chartered to a third party following an early termination of the contract with Egypt’s EGAS.

The Höegh Gallant will serve the new contract with Clearlake Shipping as an LNG carrier, not as a regasification vessel.

The 2014-built 170,051-cbm vessel passed the Strait of Gibraltar on Wednesday and it was heading toward’s Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in the US, according to its AIS data.

It is expected to arrive at the Sabine Pass facility around November 6.
