HTS Wins Its First Japanese Order

Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (HTS) has won its first Japanese order. The shipyard and an unnamed Japanese owner have signed a shipbuilding contract for three, with options for two more, 64,000-dwt Bulk Carriers.

The vessels, estimated to be worth around $24m-25m each, are scheduled for delivery in 2015.

Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry (HTS) is a newly-built large and medium-sized enterprise. The shipyard gained the accreditation of ISO9001:2002 and OSAH14000/GB25008 the quality management system and is engaged in the construction of large vessels and ocean engineering units approved by ABS、DNV、BV、LR、CCS.
