Proposed dredging project at Port of Pascagoula could be on hold

A proposed dredging project at the Port of Pascagoula could be on hold or eventually scrapped due to concerns that it would affect the habitat of a fish considered a threatened species. The port has plans for three-phase dredging project that would create approximately 150 acres of tidal marsh on the east side of Singing River Island as a means to stop erosion.
