India’s petroleum exports rise 24.9 percent

India’s petroleum exports recorded a 24.9 percent rise during April-February 2004-05 compared to the same period in the previous year. “While 12.93 million tonnes of petroleum products were exported during the first 11 months of 2003-04, the export during the same period of 2004-05 amounted to 16.14 million tonnes,” Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar told Rajya Sabha in a written reply Tuesday.
