Date 4th Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event announced!

Wednesday the 28th of April 2010, the 4th Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event will be held at the Beurs-World Trade Center in Rotterdam. This annual event is one of the biggest Dutch career events and the international maritime market can’t do without the Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event anymore.

April 28, 2010
The 4th edition is dominated by the 2010 increase of the labour market in the maritime and offshore sector. The expectation for the Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event 2010 is that more exhibitors will be participating than in 2009. The media and promotional campaign for the visitors is more extensive and specific and focuses this edition even more than previous years on the alignment of what kind of people exhibitors search for. This is possible thanks to years of investment by the organization in its contacts with training and research establishments in the maritime labour market. An extensive cross-media campaign has been developed consisting of a print and online campaign and promotion teams at universities and other institutes.

Despite the economic situation in 2009, 127 companies presented themselves during the 3rd edition of the event and more than 2,800 students and job seekers attended the exhibition in April 2009. Where the number of exhibitors compared to 2008 decreased slightly, the number of visitors again increased enormously. Also, compared to the two previous editions, a higher percentage of professionals visited the event. For 2010 the outlook for both the number of exhibitors and visitors is very positive within the organization.
The labour market in the maritime sector is slowly improving. Companies are aware of the need to position their employer brand well within the target group and expect to have more vacancies in 2010. Jobseekers/professionals and students see the importance of a good orientation on the labour market to find a suitable job.

Visiting hours
The event starts at 11.00 hours and will be opened by a leader in the industry. Who that will be, we will keep as a secret for now. The exhibition closes at 19.00 hours, so visitors have the opportunity to attend the event even after work or college. At 17.30 hours the traditional network drink starts on the exhibition floor. This drink takes place during the event. Visitors are welcome to get acquainted with the exhibitors’ career opportunities while enjoying a snack and a drink.
