US to supply 8 subs to Taiwan

The United States has told Taiwan that it is ready to supply eight diesel submarines to Taiwan to boost Taipei’s defences against China and to avoid layoffs at an American shipyard, US Representative Rob Simmons (Republican of Connecticut) said in a statement on Thursday.
