South Korea Rescues Crew and Ship From Pirates

South Korea’s military said on Friday that its special forces freed the crew of a freighter hijacked in the Arabian Sea, killing eight of the Somali pirates who seized the ship last week.
Photos of the rescue of the South Korean vessel were published by Yonhap, the South Korean news agency, in its online reports. President Lee Myung-bak, sharply criticized last year over his government’s response to the sinking of a warship and the North Korean shelling of an island, reaffirmed his country’s tough stance against pirates.
