DG, Shipping to conduct survey of vessel stranded in Lakshadweep

No decision has been taken on salvaging the trawler Isabel III, which ran aground on a coral reef in Lakshadweep on Saturday even as fears of an oil spill from the vessel is causing concern to authorities here.

Police said a team from the Directorate General of Shipping arrived here today and would conduct an aerial survey of the vessel stranded in Suhaili Island today.
