Diana Shipping 2Q Results Swing to Loss

Greek cargo transporter Diana Shipping Inc. said Wednesday it swung to a loss in the second-quarter, after paying a one-time, acquisition-related preferential dividend.

The company reported a net loss attributable to common shareholders of $7.1 million, or 15 cents per share, compared with profit of $20.1 million, or 50 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Revenue fell to $26.1 million from $29.4 million last year.
