Mets keynote turns gloom to boom

Professional trendwatcher, Adjiedj Bakas, will provide the ultimate kick-off for three inspiring days of METS / SYP as this year’s Breakfast Briefing keynote. He will be stressing his own personal mantra, “if you can’t laugh, don’t start a business”, and will be provocative but always positive – even in these times of economic decline.

Bakas, who has sold more than 500,000 books worldwide, was one of the first commentators to predict the current economic crisis – and the path to recovery. He will describe the opportunities created for real entrepreneurship by the economic downturn and will highlight the openings that have now appeared for a real transformation of the economy. “Difficulties are actually just opportunities with spikes,” he says.

The Breakfast Briefing is co-organised by ICOMIA and will be held on Tuesday 16 November (8:00 hours in the Forum of Amsterdam RAI) and will be followed by the DAME Award presentations. It will be attended, as is tradition, by METS and SuperYacht Pavilion exhibitors, media and special VIP guests but is also open, on a first come first served basis, to 50 visitors who register their interest by sending an email to [email protected] , stating “Breakfast Briefing METS 2010” in the subject.
