Clipper 05-06: Going Loco in Hualtulco
The west coast city of Acapulco was unfortunately not in the best place for a refuelling stop, otherwise today’s title would have had a far better ring to it. The yachts are making pitstops in the beautiful Bahia de Hualtulco (as shown opposite) to take on fuel. The agent there seems to have done a good job of organising things, and if all goes well the yachts will tie up to the cruise ship pier, which is in the centre of the westerly Bahia Chahue on the Google Earth picture, take on fuel and then depart immediately. The crews will not be able to leave the dock area, unfortunately, so their view of this lvely area will be from afar. They will, however, be able to go swimming in the bay.
