Iberdrola Ranked as Best Company in Spain

IBERDROLA has been chosen as the best Spanish company and leading European utility by analysts and investors consulted by Institutional Investor Research Group, which has just published its 2014 All-Europe Executive Team ranking.

The company comes second among all sectors, behind only Airbus and followed by Technip, Roche Holding and Vodafone Group.

IBERDROLA’s Chairman Ignacio Galán has been ranked best chief executive officer (CEO) among European utilities, and finance director José Sáinz Armada has placed as the best CFO among utilities for the fourth consecutive year. Investor Relations director Ignacio Cuenca has meanwhile been chosen as best in his sector.

The Institutional Investor’s 2014 All-Europe Executive Team ranking is based on responses from 830 professionals working at 460 buy side firms, and more than 1,200 analysts from 140 sell side firms. They were asked between the months of September and December to nominate up to four CEOs, CFOs, heads of Investment Relations and Companies from each sector.

The energy ranking is divided into four sub-sectors: oil and gas production and exploration, oil services, utilities – including IBERDROLA – and renewable energy.
