Ichthys Contract Goes to Programmed, Australia

Ichthys Contract Goes to Programmed

Programmed, through its marine services division, has been awarded a contract to provide vessel management, marine and construction manning, catering and logistical services to Heerema Marine Contractors for its work on the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project.

The contract, worth approximately $100 million, will support the installation of offshore moorings, structures and flowlines as part of the offshore Ichthys field development, 820km south-west of Darwin.

Work on the project is expected to commence in mid-2014 and last approximately 12 months.

Programmed Managing Director Chris Sutherland said “This highlights our continuing success in securing contracts to support the marine management, manning and logistical needs of Australia’s largest oil and gas projects. Our major operations associated with the Gorgon development continue until near the end of this year; then we will begin work associated with Wheatstone before commencing work on the Ichthys Project.”
