Icon Offshore secures long-term gig

Icon Offshore, an offshore support vessel provider, has received a letter of award from Borneo Seaoffshore, a provider of integrated solutions and services to the petroleum industry, for the provision of one deepwater platform supply vessel. 

The vessel is for Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company (KPOC).

KPOC is a joint operating company comprising PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (40%), ConocoPhillips Sabah Gas Ltd (30%) and Shell Energy Asia Limited (30%).

According to Icon Offshore’s Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday, the contract started on November 12, 2015 and it will last for two years with an extension option of one year.

The contract is valued at approximately RM51 million ($12.1 million), including extension period.
