IKM Awarded Contract by PT McDermott Indonesia for Kepodang Gas Field Project

PT IKM Indonesia has been awarded a contract by PT McDermott Indonesia for the Kepodang Gas Field Project.

McDermott won the contract from PC Muriah, which is an affiliate of PETRONAS Carigali. Under this contract, McDermott will procure, build, install and commission a 5,802t central processing platform and a 1,298t wellhead platform.

The Muriah PSC currently covers an area of approximately 2788 square kilometers in the East Java Sea. Cities Service originally discovered gas in 1971, and subsequent wells drilled by Conoco in 1981 and Shell in 1993 encountered same gas accumulation, now known as the Kepodang field. The Kepodang field is located about 180 km north east of Semarang, the capital of the Province of Central Java, in water depths ranging from 60 to 70 meters. Kepodang Gas Field is shown below.

The Scope of Subcontract Services including Project management, provision of labor, equipment and consumables to carry out the following services:

a. Flange Management

b. Valve Leak Testing

c. Chemical Cleaning

d. Hot Oil Flushing

e. Hydraulic Tuding

Flushing

f. Nitrogen Helium Leak Test

Project is scheduled to commence in October 2013 over a period of 10 months in Batam, Indonesia.
