Image of the Day: Maersk Gallant Readies for New Tasks

The image depicts the Maersk Gallant rig during her special periodic survey yard stay in Lindø, Denmark.


She is designed for year-round operation in the North Sea, in water depths up to 120 m (394 ft) with an available leg length below hull of 138.5 m (454 ft).

The rig is equipped for high pressure/high temperature drilling (HP/HT). The Mærsk Gallant has been working in the North Sea since its commissioning in 1993.
