Image of the Day: MSC Perle Enjoys Haifa’s Sun

Mediterranean Shipping Company’s container ship, MSC Perle, is shown on today’s image, arriving at the Port of Haifa.

The container ship, which is 166.14 metres long and 29 meters wide, docked at Israel’s largest port yesterday, on May 13th.

MSC Perle was built in 1983 at Germany-based Nordseewerke Emden shipyard and is currently sailing under Panamanian flag. The ship is powered by 1300KW MAN B&W 5 L 80 GFCA engine and equipped with a crane capable of carrying up to 20 tons.

After 18 hours spent at the port, the ship undocked and headed to her next Israeli destination, Port of Ashdod.
