Imtech Marine Inaugurates New Delhi Office

Imtech Marine has opened a new office in New Delhi. The new office will give Imtech Marine a foothold in India’s fast growing maritime industry and will further increase its reach in South-East Asia.

Imtech Marine India Pvt Ltd. is an approved supplier for the Indian Navy regarding HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Airconditioning) and Fire Fighting systems, but it presently also works on various projects of the Indian Navy for the supply of HVAC/NBC equipment, Fire Fighting systems and Chilled Water Plants. All these projects are in the bidding stage.

We see the Indian maritime industry as a growing market with a lot of potential. Right now the starting focus is on offering HVAC capabilities and solutions to the Indian navy. Being present locally with our own local staff, makes working with the Indian customers easy and quick and we can be in direct contact with the decision makers in the region“, says Georg Bieler, Managing Director of Imtech Schiffbau-/ Dockbautechnik, the HVAC specialist in the Imtech Marine group.

Imtech Marine started its local presence in India in April 2010. With the new office located in the heart of Delhi, Imtech Marine now operates as Imtech Marine India Pvt. Ltd. in the Indian region. In India not only the merchant market but especially the Indian naval market is of interest for Imtech Marine.

The Indian Navy’s huge modernisation and expansion programme as well as up-grade of HVAC systems on existing naval ships will turn India into one of the largest markets for the defence industry worldwide. Imtech Marine India was also requested by the Indian Navy to carry out design and performance assessments for HVAC systems on existing naval ships in order to enhance their operational efficiency.

Recently, Georg Bieler was in India on a delegation’s journey together with the First Mayor of the city of Hamburg. In addition to political interchange, economic topics were in the foreground of the journey.
