Ince & Co advises Golar LNG on Cameroon deal

Ince & Co said it has advised Golar LNG on its agreement of material commercial terms with Perenco, for the development of an FLNG export project near shore off the coast of Cameroon.

The tolling agreement, which sets out the material commercial terms for the project, is subject to finalisation with Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH) and approval from the Government of Cameroon.

The project is based on the allocation of 500 Bcf of natural gas reserves from offshore Kribi fields, which will be exported to global markets via the GoFLNG facility Hilli, now under construction at the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore.

Production is expected to start in Q2, 2017.

The Ince team was led by London-based partner Jonathan Goldfarb. Jonathan previously advised Golar on the completion of its floating storage and regasification unit lease with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan in 2013, and the 2011 West Java FSRU project in Asia.
