Inchcape Shipping Services Looking For New CEO

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) will start the search for a new Chief Executive Officer after the company’s CEO of nine years – Captain Claus Hyldager – announced his decision to step down.

Captain Claus Hyldager has been CEO of Inchcape Shipping Services since January 2006. He was formerly COO of the company and has held a number of other senior management positions since joining ISS in 1995. Hyldager is now serving a period of garden leave and will assist with an orderly handover.

The company’s current Chief Financial Officer, Chris Whiteside, has been appointed as acting CEO.

A special committee of the ISS Board will oversee the search for a permanent CEO with the assistance of an unnamed executive search firm.

Today ISS acts as the agent for over 65,000 port calls in 1,533 ports across 112 countries.
