India Gets LNG Cargo

India has received a cargo of liquefied natural gas from Qatar, ship-tracking data shows.

The Ben Badis, with a capacity of 177,000 cubic meters, docked today at Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal on India’s west coast.

The Dahej terminal, when built, was South East Asia’s first LNG receiving and regasification terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA.

The capacity of the terminal has been expanded to 10 MMTPA and it has been commissioned in June, 2009.
