India: Plan for Tuna Port Progresses Well

Adani Group and Kandla port plans to join hands to develop a satellite port at Tuna, roughly 20-km away from Kandla.

Developing this satellite port will entail an investment of Rs 1.060 crore out of which Adani will have to invest Rs 800 crore and the remaining will be pumped in by KPT mainly for capital dredging.

The project involves setting up berthing and allied facilities off  Tekkra near Tuna outside Kandla creek to handle 14 mt of cargo a year.

The project will help APSEZ expand its port capacity to 200 mt by 2020 from about 75 mt now.
