Indian power company, Torrent Power, revealed an interest in securing nine cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for delivery in 2018.

In a document released earlier this week, the company said it has already secured enough LNG supplies for delivery during 2017.

The company has booked 1 million tons per year regasification capacity at Petronet LNG’s Dahej terminal and is now looking to secure LNG cargoes on delivered ex-ship (DES) basis.

According to the document, Torrent Power will seek interested suppliers during the second quarter of 2017 through an invitation to offer.

In addition, the power company said it want to have the option of diverting up to two LNG cargoes to an alternative port outside of India.
