India’s Dahej receives LNG cargo

The 138,700 cbm Raahi LNG carrier delivered a cargo of the chilled gas to Petronet’s Dahej import terminal on India’s west coast.

The LNG carrier unloaded a Qatari-sourced cargo during the weekend and departed from the terminal in Gujarat on Sunday, according to shipping data.

Petronet LNG is working on expanding Dahej’s capacity from 10 mtpa to 15 mtpa. Expansion works at the terminal are expected to be complete by November, 2016.

India’s largest LNG importer has also earlier this year approved a further expansion of Dahej terminal’s capacity to 17.5 million tonnes per annum.
