IOC seeking single LNG cargo

Indian Oil Corporation has reportedly launched a tender for the supply of a single liquefied natural gas cargo.

Sources told Reuters that the tender was launched last week and that the company is seeking a cargo for delivery during the month of September.

The company recently awarded a single cargo tender to trading house Vitol that was delivered in mid-July to Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal.

It was earlier reported that IOC is looking to buy one cargo of LNG per month on the spot market through 2015 and 2016 in order to exploit currently lower short-term prices.
